JM & JK are telling us they are TOGETHER. We just need to LISTEN!

I just re-watched episode 7 of the Disney documentary with Jimin and Jk at his home. Jimin while talking to JK, who is now off camera but across from him, says “I want to stay healthy as I grow old, together with my fans”. He has a sweet smile on his face while looking down.

I especially loved the part where Jimin says “together with my fans I want to be happy”. JK says “that’s right”. Then he looked at JK, pointed and  said “I want to be happy and I wish the same for everyone else” with a shy smile on his face. Then his #1 fan, JK said “Let’s be Happy! Jimin is still shyly smiling. 

That whole conversation was meant for JK and us. If people would only listen to what they tell us, what they have been telling us for years, they would know they are together. The other messages in the past year such as the Wlives, the multiple trips last year, the support of each other’s solo debut and the release of the PTD behind the scenes and now this Disney documentary. However, the ultimate message from them was their enlistment together.

I have never been invested in the success and happiness of someone’s relationship the way I am with Jk and JM. Post military and their comeback tour, I honestly believe they will choose to live their life together, quietly, but openly.

It's been almost a day but I finally forced myself to read some stuff about today's news and as I assumed, it's unclear if they already signed or not. But there must be an understanding that they will. Maybe Namjoon's already signed since he's desperate like that. And Jungkook, obviously.

Apparently tho, the current contract is still running until end of 2024. I don't know and frankly don't really care about the specifics. I've only ever signed contracts for apartments that I've rented.

I also think it's probably what Jimin was talking about in his last live when he said he'd been having conversations with the company on how to ~meet the fans again. The timing would make sense, and him not being able to talk about it so openly would also make sense. Not that I have much interest in law anyways.

I still believe too that it's curious that he doesn't mention 2025 as much as everyone else seems to lol. He could've easily mentioned a comeback in that live if contract talk was so fresh, but he didn't. I'm not saying curious in a conspiracy theory type of way, but just because changes in Jimin have almost always meant something.

I genuinely don't see 2025 happening as of right now, and I would have to see it to believe it. Though I'm not sure I'm still going to be here anyways. When, if it happens it's just plain insane to think it's going to be idol era again where they release two full albums and go on tour each year. It's literally going to be like butter and ptd were with a couple of months with schedule and then radio silence for the rest of the year. At most, they could (probably will) do solo stuff in the time in between.

BTS as I knew and loved was over in 2021 for me, and I think time will only keep "killing" (if you will) the things people love the most about them, so to me it's still soooo over.

2022: it’s a wrap.

2022. It’s been real. Too real. Not exactly how I thought it would unfold. But it’s the end of December and now we know. 

THEY knew 2022 was THE year. Time was working against them because of Jin’s age. But shit happened in the world, in their country. Or I should say, shit DIDN’T happen that they perhaps expected or hoped.

There was no brand new BTS comeback album, but a compilation which was wonderful, rich and retrospective. Each of the members reflected on their “proof” and why they chose the songs they did for the album. 

They teased PROOF at the end of the last PTD concert in Las Vegas in April. They knew long before that how 2022 was gonna play out.

Even though they hinted at the end of 2021 that there might be a world tour, there was no new comeback album and no new world tour for it, but as it happened, they gave us a single, amazing one-off concert that was free to the entire world. Immediately it was fraught with controversy, negativity and disorganization. But they pulled it off spectacularly in grand BTS style. Bangtan Bangtanned. 

The Festa dinner in June truly revealed their turmoil. It was a hard year for them and they worked and fought so hard to make it as good as possible for us. It was so heartbreaking to see them struggling to tell us they were committed to staying together but they needed to step away from the group in order to work on themselves as artists and to find out who they were as people. 

We started getting their solo work in the form of Jack in the Box and Indigo and The Astronaut. The individual artistic growth is already amazing. We already see Joon resolving some of the internal conflicts he was facing this past summer. The more we see him during interviews the more he is smiling and looks happy. It’s a big relief.

We will never know how truly heartbroken and frustrated they were this year. They may never reveal the reasons why they hinted at a world tour that never happened. And all the other bullshit they went through, especially Jimin and his privacy breach and how that may have influenced changes. I am so sorry and sad they felt they had to make the decisions they did but Jimin said they did EVERYTHING the best they could, ALWAYS keeping ARMY in their minds and hearts.

Their military service has been announced and is now underway. It has been a very emotional month for us and the members, seeing Jin off to begin his enlistment obligation.

Yes, we all hoped beyond hope there would be a military exemption. But they really set it up so we could process it little by little so that by October, when they made the announcement, we were ready to accept it even though we were still hoping they had an out somewhere.

As the announcement says: “...it is a promise, there’s much more yet to come in the years ahead from BTS.”

Emotional rollercoaster for everyone is the best description of 2022.

We saw some changes as far as social media presence on their parts. As far as the guys are concerned, Twitter has mostly been abandoned for Instagram and Weverse. The Weverse platform had a total makeover this year. 

Jimin, who used to be the king of Twitter selcas a few years ago, dropped off the face of the social media universe for a while and is now posting on Weverse more than he visits his Instagram account. Jungkook continued his very erratic usage, wiping his entire Instagram at one point, “just because,” and starting over. He posted on Weverse for Jimin’s birthday, his first post there since July 2019 on that platform.

Hobi and Namjoon are our social media kings on Instagram now. Followed by Tae, Jin and Yoongi. Useless debate still rages TODAY on how significant their social media usage is, who they post pictures of, who they comment or like, what does it mean, if anything?

Now we look forward to 2023. 

A New Years custom in South Korea is to watch the sunrise on New Year’s day. Throngs of people go out in public places waiting for the sunrise. 

It is an optimistic way of greeting the new set of twelve months. A fresh new year, a new sun, a new day. We need all the optimism we can gather. Take a deep breath. This is a kumbaya moment! (lol).

2023 will bring new thrills for us as we look forward to new solo music and appearances and content. New documentaries, new Run BTS! So many rumors flying about tv dramas and collaborations. There is a lot in store for them and us in 2023.

However, it will all be severely tempered with each new heartbreak watching each one of them finally take that big step and enter the military for their service (assuming they all go in 2023).

We will probably see less and less interactions on social media, of course especially after they all enter the military. We should expect nothing for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or when milestones are reached or awards achieved. We will have to get used to their silence on social. 

All we can do is support them the best way we can. And stick together and try not to create too much negativity among us. When it gets overwhelming, just step away for a while, there’s nothing wrong with that. Take time, think about why you love Jin, Yoongi, Hobi, Namjoon, Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung.

We already know we get to start off with a brand new episode of Run BTS!

ANYWAY! Happy new year to you all and I hope everyone gets to start it on their best note. So bring it on 2023! FIGHTING!

You can see in the new trailer that there are 3 beds being used in the jeju accommodations so there is a chance that Tae will be with them in jeju. If he is that will be interesting to see the dynamics between the three of them.

like if its the jikook show why is tae there. seriously. and listen i don't need people in my inbox calling me a tae anti again. point blank if the show is ARE YOU SURE?!: Jimin and Jungkook's Travelogue, why is tae there. why would tae be featured.

maybe i need to calm down and this is just like any other member visiting an mv shoot or music show performance or suchwita or whatever. but the thing is that it was usually a solo comeback thing, one member doing something alone, so the other is there for support. this is two bts members already. oh whatever i don't care its just obnoxious knowing the impending reaction to tae in the show.

i wonder if he is actually there, do they talk about how he decided to join them.

also i agree, i think it would be an interesting look into how the dynamic is, seeing as the last time we saw the three of them in a room together alone, i think it was the ptd LA live. they were with namjoon before they enlisted. but i still feel like tae third wheels them.

sometimes, i see myself thinking about how it would have been if the pandemic had never happened and if they could have followed as they had planned... there's no "if" in life and it's pointless to dwell on it, but i think about it every once in a while. the only thing i'm 100% sure is that they would've lived incredibly with armys, the MOTS tour would be a masterpiece and break more and more records of audience, many different things would appear... what beautiful moments would have happened? how would be the goodbye at the final concerts?

on the other hand, BE wouldn't have been made. and then Dynamite, Butter, PTD would also not have been released. i became army around july 2020. would i have entered their world if the circumstances had been different? i think that i would've become their fan regardless, i know in my heart that i needed to find them, but would it have been much later if there was no pandemic?

what about PROOF? RUN BTS, Yet To Come, For Youth? Chapter 2 in general? in what ways would it have happened? and how sooner and in what ways would they comeback as a group?

there's no way to know these things, isn't it crazy? well, i still think that they would always be walking and doing things in the best possible way and i'm beyond relieved and happy that i'm part of their path too. no matter what happens to them from now on and even if it’s scary how big they already are and how bigger they'll become (does it scare you too?), i'm sure that they'll write so many more amazing stories with us, their fans... i hope i can see it all 🥺

to a degree it’s natural to think about all the “what ifs” from time to time (I do it often too when it comes to my personal life) and to imagine all these different realities that could’ve been, but at the end of the day we only have this one reality, in this case with them, and I think that even with all these tough circumstances, they did wonderfully. they’ve always given their best and they would have no matter how things would’ve gone, just as you said. I personally don’t dwell on/ think as much about these things and I’m also not scared about what you mentioned (to answer your small question at the end); your message shows me that we really all are on our very own fandom journeys and put different parts of ourselves in it all (do you know what I mean?), but as long as it’s all genuine and feels good, that’s more than okay. I hope you keep finding lots of joy and happiness with and through them ☺️🤍

this might be bad to say but i think the future is not gonna be that great for bts as a group. they had their peak around 2020-2021 and i think when they come back it’s gonna be kinda mid. im an army but for some reason i feel like ppl dont care about them that much as a group anymore and are used to them being solo now. i dont think the music they’re gonna put out is gonna be western bubble gum pop like dynamite/butter/ptd so i dont think its gonna chart that well or go viral. idk i feel like their time is just kinda done…

I think their peak was 2020-2021 too, but then again you probably think that because lots of armys took a break too with the enlistment period, and so you may believe no one’s left but the fandom actually got bigger and even if people are used to the solo projects I think they will tune in. Honestly, if they drop a comeback and the company actually starts promoting them like the super stars they are and not just like some inkigayo idol, they have great chances to go even beyond that 2020 peak.

And I’m gonna share an opinion of mine, I think they will drop another english single.

MOTS7 era/ON era. Is this a bias coming into to play with that being my first comeback??? Maybe. Idk. But I LOVED their looks/styles that whole era too.

I'm second guessing myself because I keep coming up with more options. Lol I love them in all eras. Every era has something special about it. This is kinda a rude question!!

Hey, seeing how yet to come got over 60m views in two days and solo songs only getting this amount of views after a few months leaves me wondering what's causing this. Do you think most army left the fandom after they announced their hiatus in June? or have the fans completely turned into solo fans, and only support one member?

Hi! I don't think the fandom has abandoned BTS at all. Solo MVs have never received that many views compared to group MVs. Jungkook, for example, has legit never been more popular - between L&R, but especially Dreamers and CK, he's on a popularity high - but I highly doubt his next MV, even if it's a feature with Bieber, will break any YT records BTS (or Blackpink) set. It's not that fans have turned into solo fans, though I think there are more solo stans now, but it's that solos are some of the most passionate fans and they won't stream day and night for members they don't bias. They'll stream for OT7 though, at least for their bias(es). OT7 Army also prioritize OT7 MVs and won't generally make as much of an effort to stream solo MVs. They care much more about group accomplishments and records. To match OT7 views you would need the full power of the fandom and that's likely never going to happen for any member. We know many fans strongly prefer one member over the other, or even dislike certain members. OT7 music is also generally funner and the MVs are funner and more colorful too, which makes it easier for fans to stream them.

Also, remember the iHeart Radio Awards? Jungkook was nominated for best MV alongside BTS and nearly every Army voted for BTS. Only Jungkook stans and a few Jungkook biased Armys voted for him, and he lost to BTS. So solo stans are in no way more powerful than OT7 stans and, more importantly, stans of other members. I doubt Army has changed that much, but the ugly side of the fandom has become even more visible. There's a lot of competition between the members. Everyone wants their fave to break some record, so some fans might feel discouraged to stream another member that isn't their bias's song or MV...

How could most Army have left the fandom? Jimin only got n. 1 on the Hot 100 because a large part of the fandom made it happen, even with very strict rules against mass buying and streaming. BTS aren't losing fans. They might lose casual fans, who will only tune in again when BTS come back from enlistment, and some fans might lose some interest or become less active in the fandom, but I doubt they'll lose more than 10% of their core fanbase. Casual fans always come back when something new drops - plus, when BTS return a lot of people will be anticipating it so their comeback will be huge and they'll be able to build up a lot of momentum from it imo.

Oh, and also, I think it's becoming harder and harder to get views on YT. Fans have been complaining a lot about YT deleting or freezing views for Like Crazy. And don't forget Jimin's first week sales for FACE exceeded Butter and PTD's (or something like that)... Solo members have broken some records set by BTS, so the fandom is definitely still strong.

NAURRRR I felt your ptd post in my soullll! I would do the exact same. Woke up in the morning to go to classes and then work after and I’d be sitting there scrolling through twitter watching soundcheck videos and holding back tears that I’m NOT in fact in LA or Vegas because apparently an education is “more important” 😭

bro my biggest regret is not just going ahead and at least TRYING to get tickets to ptd like sitting there telling myself it’s too much like if i had known that was my last chance i would’ve went for it 😭😭😭 hindsight really do be 20/20 but i tell you WHAT next time i don’t care where the concert is i’m going they having a comeback in paris then bonjour bih 🥖👨‍���

Part of me is glad though. Maybe being this disappointed will make it easier to leave his fandom.

Being realistic, this is harder for him than it is for us. So, there's that.

I'm not thinking about lives or anything, but I really wanted him to still be around when he released more music. That's something I'm geniunely heartbroken about, and I've been crying on and off for days about it lol. Like, I'm okay and suddenly I remember and I cry. I put myself together, move on, then some hours later I remember and cry again lol.

Maybe he doesn't have his stuff ready to be released yet, and obviously I'm okay with that. But if it's ready, and he's not releasing because fuckass Jungkook is still playing popstar and failing, then my dislike for Jungkook will actually turn into hate. Imagine hoarding the last week before enlistment when there's three other members with more music to release that won't have a chance because of you. Releasing the 500th flop remix in the past six months. Just nasty behavior.

I don't care about the group anymore, so when or if they comeback, I won't support them. I know that already, because I already didn't support butter, ptd, my universe, proof album in any way beyond watching the music video. If Jimin keeps doing solo stuff I will listen tho, but aside from that I'll also be trying at least to leave fandom spaces and trying to interact only with his music; just like I do with Taylor or other singers I like. I don't keep up with fandom discussions, or her personal life like that, but I listen to Taylor literally every single day. Putting that kind of distance shouldn't be difficult anyways, because we already don't know anything about Jimin's personal life. The fandom at large doesn't know anything about any member's personal life.

this is a bit random but i remembered you saying in your tags that your will to live dropped after ptd did and like... the real lasting legacy for ptd for me personally is that now i have trust issues every time a kpop group i like is about to release a song. like the preview for back for more sounds good and that makes me a bit optimistic but part of me is also cautious bc a preview is just a small snippet, what if the whole track turns out to be a song that i dislike and that i feel doesn't fit txt at all? maybe a few years ago i would've been purely excited but now there's always that part of me that's like "please don't be another ptd" so i feel cautious before every release

anyway this is just a vent and this is my own personal problem, like i said i think the preview sounds good and it's cool that other people are excited! this is just more of a "what if" nagging thought for me and sometimes i wonder if other fans feel the same or if i'm just being pessimistic

JDKAJDJA i feel u 😔 personally i don't have a problem if i don't like a song one of my fav groups releases, so i won't be TOO disappointed if i don't like it. plus as someone from brazil i am REALLY excited to see them releasing a feature with a brazilian artist tbh 😭 my problem with ptd was the series of unfortunate events that lead us to that moment yk? like they were supposed to promote mots7 (which to me was a wonderful album) and go on tour, but then covid happened so the tour was cancelled, then they released dynamite... which was a BOP ngl i loved it i was just as obsessed as anyone else. but bighit saw how well the song performed internationally, especially in the usa, and seemed to become obsessed with trying to make bts appeal to the american media. so we got butter (and i was FUMING at the time bc txt had a cb with 0x1 shortly after a fcking bts comeback and i felt like they wouldn't stand a chance against bts on mysic shows and stuff 😭) and later on we got ptd which to me is honestly the weakest and most generic song bts has ever released. bts went from a group that co-wrote and co-produced most of their songs to a group that was being forced to only sing other people's generic stuff. (and i won't even mention BE bc that felt like a fever dream tbh it was literally released just as damage control and also at a specific time of the year so bts could win album of the year in 2021 without actually releasing an album in 2021.) and now that bts is on a hiatus i fear that they try to put them txt through a btsification process or smth idk???? but at least for now it doesn't seem to be the case. i don't mind them appealing to the american public and releasing songs that are meant to be a radio hit over there or whatever, as long as they don't lose their essence in the long run... and considering this album concept seems to be following that txt formula we know and love (since it's a continuation of the previous one, apparently), i think everything's still ok for now.

plus around the time do it like that was released they mentioned it on a welive that korean fans were getting kinda frustrated at how much promotion they were doing in the usa and not in korea and they were like don't worry we still have smth BIG coming up for us in korea, and i'm p sure they were talking about the album!! so i think we will survive. i hope. particularly i'm super excited to find out what the album is gonna sound like!! it's the first full album since freeze so hopefully we'll get many great tracks to jam to
